In 1997, nine owners of local manufactured home communities made the progressive step to protect and manage the local water supply by forming the Long Neck Water Company. Long Neck Water provides water to a primarily residential area of Sussex County, Delaware. The District covers a roughly 10.75 square mile area east of Millsboro and west of Lewes and Rehoboth Beach. 

Long Neck Water serves water to over 4,600 metered service connections in 17 communities.  Long Neck Water source of water supply is groundwater from production wells pumping from the Columbia Aquifer. Our constant goal is to provide you with a safe and dependable supply of drinking water. The waters from wells are pumped to treatment facilities. The treatment consists of disinfection, PH and corrosion control. 

Long Neck Water supplies over 200 million gallons a year through 120 miles of water main. We are committed to protecting the quality of your water.
